Daily Inspiration – Zella Day

Thursday, April 9th, 2015

Where should I start? I got the awesome chance to attend a private recording session at Triple M 105.5 FM  featuring none other than Zella Day. The mister texted me saying he had a surprise for me, little did I know he had won tickets for me on the radio for it HA! (Yes, I’m pretty lucky) So I moved meetings around and cleared my day to attend. Zella performed four songs and each one blew my mind even more. She sounded incredible! I’ve said this before and I will say it again, when you sound great live it totally makes your albums even stronger. I can totally see this girl blowin’ up soon. I was thrilled I got to see her perform live. Her voice was just killer. So was her personality. There was a little Q&A session afterwards, we had to get interrupted because clearly we could’ve gone for hours chatting about L.A and all our favorite spots to visit. Zella, if I was still living in L.A I would totally go to Melrose Trading post with you HA! Maybe on my next visit? Anyways, if you haven’t listened to her music take a look right here, plus watch her Hypnotic music video and thank me later! Looking forward to attending more of these recordings at 105.5 FM. I had a blast! Have you attended a live session lately? Who’s your fave new artist? You clearly know mine!

Daily Inspiration – Avocado Toast!

Thursday, April 2nd, 2015

My favorite breakfast since I can remember has been Avocado toast! I don’t know if it started as a California thing or not but I sure enjoy it anywhere. The secret really is to use the right avocado, what do I mean by that? Well it has to be soft and ready to be eaten. Ever since I ate my first avocado toast I’ve been adding extra ingredients here and there and my love for it grew even more. I figured why not share it with the world? I know there are a million ways to eat it but this is my fave! All you do is mix half a ripe avocado in a bowl with juice from half a lime. Then add a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread this on your  toast and here is the good part… add crumble feta cheese with red pepper flakes on top! You’re welcome world. You will never look back! What about you? How do you like your avocado toast?

Daily Inspiration – Mini Easter Candy Jars!

Tuesday, March 31st, 2015

I can’t get over the fact Easter is happening this Sunday. 2015 sure is flying by. I came across the cutest little jars at Target’s dollar spot. Which by the way is getting better and better. I try hard not to leave with like 100 things every time I walk by it. I thought why not fill these with cute Easter candy? I grabbed some more Cadbury eggs because after making these cookies I kept eating the bag all weekend HA! I also grabbed some jelly beans, not because I like them but because I’m a good wife. Those things are nasty HAHA. The rest of the stuff I had at home… washi tape, craft tags, twine and a gel pen.

The DIY is pretty straight forward, fill your mini jar with the candy, write “Happy Easter” or any message on your tag and tape it to the bottle. I added a little twine to each bottle just because everything looks prettier with twine HA! I think these will look lovely on a table as Easter brunch favors. Maybe even adding your guests names on the tags and using as place holders would be darling. Either way these mini Easter candy jars will be loved by everyone. Happy Easter friends!

Daily Inspiration – Pro Merch

Friday, March 27th, 2015

With the football offseason in full swing I will admit I’m still going through withdrawals. One of the things that makes me excited for the next season is finding a new shirt to show off next year. Yes, I have plenty of shirts I rock on Sundays to support my team which makes getting dressed for game day way more fun. Then when you win you wear it again, if you lose you give that shirt a break HA! Talk about superstitious. Anyways, ever since Pro Merch launched a few years back it’s been my favorite place to shop for team gear. I’ve never been that girl that likes to wear pink or have “bling” on my clothes so their stuff is perfect for me. I don’t understand why every other sport merchandise for women has to be pink and flashy. I truly hate that. That’s why Pro Merch speaks to me HA! All their designs are inspired by the athletes which makes them even more awesome. The mister loves it too so we both have a few pieces. He was the one who introduced me to it in the first place. Pro Merch now added baseball athletes to their collection too so it doesn’t get any better than that. I already bought my shirt for the Brewers opening day! Miller Park here we come! Do you like Pro Merch too? Where do you get your gear? Are you going through Football withdrawals? Check out some of my favorite pieces below!
