Daily Inspiration – Snowglobes DIY (Anthropology Style)

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

The second I discovered these lovely snow globes by Arielle Elise on Pinterest I knew I had to make them. I’ve seen the ones from Anthropology  but I wasn’t going to pay over $20 for it. Obviously making them myself will be more fun. I added my own twist, since I couldn’t find winter trees, I decided to “frost” my own trees. The end result was beyond what I expected. I’m in love with them and might even make some as gifts (spoiler alert).

Materials needed: Glass jar/Mason jar, hot glue gun, glitter, white acrylic paint, little brush & some miniature evergreen trees. Start by frosting your tree, then you glue it to the jar lid, fill up your jar with glitter and seal it. Voila! How easy is that? It literally takes 10 minutes to make one. Also, who knew a gravy jar could turn into such a lovely thing. HAHA I’m thinking on adding little flags to the trees with personal messages just to make them more special. Happy crafting!
